UE is militant, member-run union that stands for worker unity, international solidarity and the political independence of the working class. The first union chartered by the CIO in 1936, UE has expanded from the electrical industry to represent workers in a variety of economic sectors.

UE staff work at the direction of the elected leadership to carry out the programs and policies decided upon by our members.

Field Organizer/Union Representative

The position involves bargaining, local union leadership development, internal organizing, and grievance handling for bargaining units in this sector.
